Important Notices for Our Anglers

  • Reservation-Only Fishing: To ensure the best experience and adherence to fish welfare guidelines, we now operate on a reservation-only basis. This policy allows us to ensure all anglers are equipped for a responsible and enjoyable fishing experience.
  • Cancellation Policy: Please note that bookings are non-refundable if canceled within 14 days of the scheduled date.
  • Payment Confirmation: Your booking will be confirmed once we receive the payment.

Restroom and parking facilities are accessible on site.

Fishing Rules at Panshill Fishery


To ensure a sustainable and enjoyable experience for all our visitors, we kindly ask you to adhere to the following standard rules:

  • An Environment Agency fishing licence is required to fish on this site. Two-rod limit at all times.
  • Unhooking mats and minimum of a 36” landing nets must be used on all Carp Lakes.
  • Landing mats not to be shared.
  • No Swapping Lakes: Once you choose a lake, please remain there for the duration of your fishing session to maintain the ecological balance.
  • No Floating Baits: To protect our fish and maintain water quality, floating baits are not permitted.
  • No Live Baits: For the safety and welfare of our fish, live baiting is strictly prohibited.
  • No dead bait allowed.
  • No Excessive Baiting: Please use bait sparingly to prevent overfeeding and potential harm to the fish.
  • Barbless Hooks Only: To ensure the well-being of our fish, only barbless hooks are allowed.
  • Keepnets must not be used on any lakes.
  • Only safe rigs allowed on carp ponds if unsure what a safe rig is ask
  • No carp sacks.
  • For security reasons the gate will be locked at night and not opened until gate opening time the following morning. The gate will only be opened outside these times in an emergency.
  • Vehicles are not permitted on the banks.
  • Vehicles may be subject to random searching on leaving the fishery. This is due to increases nationwide in fish theft.
  • Please treat other anglers with respect, no casting into others swims or casting over lines.
  • Please do not approach the peg you have booked until your allocated time, or the peg is vacated.
  • No wading, swimming, walking on ice or using the boat on site.
  • No heavy drinking or groups partying, any instances of bad behaviour may result in you being asked to leave.
  • No fires, all BBQ’s must be off the ground.
  • No firearms (including air weapons) are permitted.
  • All rubbish must be removed when you leave.
  • Any person acting in an unsporting like manner will be asked to leave.
  • All fish to be returned to the lake they were caught in.
  • No fishing rods to be left unattended.
  • Dogs are only allowed but must be kept on a lead at all times and kept under suitable control and cleaned up after.
  • No nuts of any kind to be used.
  • Random rig checks are carried out, please do not be offended if you are asked.
  • The owners accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, death or theft whilst on the premises.
  • Damage to the complex will result in prosecutions.
  • If any hazards are seen they must be brought to the attention of the Fishery Manager immediately.
  • When fishing with children they must be supervised at all times, children are not allowed to wander off on their own and must stay in allocated pegs.


These rules are in place to ensure the health and safety of our fish and the enjoyment of all our visitors. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in following these guidelines.
